Just curious. After absolutely no thought (this was a genuine no-brainer) I joined. And the automatic paying device sucked up my fee, no questions asked. But every other organization I have joined issues some kind of membership card, or some kind of acknowledgement, or solicits bio stuff, like real name (Will), current address, age (ans: a freakin' bundle), sex (yes, still), riding ability (preferably vertical), etc. Any thoughts?

Hi Will,
A few points.
1) Yes, we will be issuing membership cards as we did last year. More info to follow as it becomes available.
2) As part of your sign up you should have received an acknowledgement from ccc@capecodcyclist.com.
3) Bio information is captured as part of your payment information when you paid thru paypal. If the information you entered is inaccurate, then you need to let us know. Typically, based on first name we know if you are male it female, if we're not sure, we'll be sure to ask.
4) We are working on some ideas about letting users update/maintain their own personal info, such as riding ability, favorite rides, type of bikes, races completed, etc. However, that takes some planning and time to develop/implement. So, its still a work in process.
Thanks for the input. As the club is currently maintained and organized by its members, its good to get feedback from its membership. I would also suggest that for those interested in doing more/helping out with the club, that you attend our monthly meetings (the first Tuesday of every month). Your comments and input are greatly appreciated.
